If money were no object, how would you spend your day?
That one question, more than any other question, has helped me to gain clarity and focus over the years. That's because the answer to that question helps us to understand ourselves better. It helps us to understand the parts of our job that we really enjoy vs. the parts of our job that frustrate us. When we understand that, we can begin to make meaningful shifts and changes in the way we spend our day.
We’re always going to have to work. But, why not have a good time while we’re at it? Why do we feel oftentimes that we need to be miserable when we’re working, so we can enjoy life when we’re not? Many of us spend at least half of our day working. Why should we be miserable for half of our life?
So, here’s my ridiculous question of the day:
If money were no object, what you do for work? How would you spend your day?
