Have you ever met a client who was non-committal or "just shopping"?
People who are non-commital in relationships may be exhibiting the Explorer archetype. The Explorer:
- Values unique and interesting experiences
- Is very independent and doesn’t like boundaries
- Likes to try new things and fears being trapped
- Seeks to express individuality
- Tends to aimlessly wander
Ever meet someone like that in life and business? When I meet an Explorer in business, I've found that it's best just to let the other person do their exploring! With one caveat... let's empower them to Explore more effectively. For example, we can give them resources, maps, and unique insight to help them on their journey. Then, when they're ready to commit, they look to us as their trusted guide.
Here's my ridiculous question of the day:
What can you and your team do today to empower your Explorer clients, prospects, and strategic partners to explore more effectively (with you as their trusted guide)?
